In order to get some
idea of what to expect, may I suggest that you go on-line and check
out the University of Wisconsin Colleges. They have a course demonstration
along with course etiquette and course expectations. Then if you
are still interested, order a book or two on what is offered and
accredited so that your decision can be made on a more informed
level.
There are several good
books now on the market to help make your selection easier.
Peterson's Guide To Distance Learning Programs, 3rd edition
is excellent and comes in paperback. The Distance
Learnerís Guide, edited by George P. Connick also comes in paperback.
These are but two of the many to select from. To find more either
go to your neighborhood book store or check Amazon.com
and browse through the Distant
Education selections.
So whether you are across
town or across the world from your school of choice, you are no
further than the nearest computer, fax, or US mail service to a
classroom and education. There are no longer scheduling conflicts
or any of the other excuses that have applied in the past. So make
up your mind and join the group. This is the classroom of tomorrow,
today.
